Who Is A Bus And Coach Operator?
An operator in a bus and coach business is a person who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bus and/or coach passenger transport service of that business. Operators may or may not be the owners of that business, or even drivers of vehicles used in that business. They must, however, be clearly seen to have authority and management control over the bus and/or coach passenger transport service,
especially in operational matters.
There may be one or more operators in a given bus or coach business.
Ideally, all such persons should undertake the course. However, only
one such person is required by law to be identified as the operator of a
road transport passenger service, and seek accreditation in order to
operate that service for the business.
