Course Details


Course Structure and Duration

The full course consists of 4 subjects, each of which requires one semester (12 weeks) of study. Subject selection is determined however by the category of accreditation being sought. The four subjects are:

  • Subject 4101: Introduction to Legislation and Operations
  • Subject 4102: Financial Management
  • Subject 4103: Human Resource Management
  • Subject 4104: Marketing, Planning and Operations

All subjects selected for study need to be completed within two years of initially enrolling in the course.

Subject Selection

Operators of Scheduled Services that operate five or less vehicles (SO accreditation) are required to complete one subject only:

  • Subject 4101: Introduction to Legislation and Operations

All other operators (including Tour and Charter) seeking AO or AC accreditation are required to complete all four subjects:

  • Subject 4101: Introduction to Legislation and Operations
  • Subject 4102: Financial Management
  • Subject 4103: Human Resource Management
  • Subject 4104: Marketing, Planning and Operations

Subjects 4102 and 4104 contain topics relevant to both scheduled and non-scheduled services. For non-scheduled (AC) accreditation only, study and exam answers are not required for scheduled service topics.

Exemptions may be sought by applicants on the basis of Relevant Prior Study (RPS), which may be demonstrated by a satisfactory certificate, diploma or degree results for the subject area concerned.

Certificate of Completion

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

Prizes

Each year, prizes are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding ability in completing the course.
