Most of you will enter Civil Engineering at Level 2 after completing Level 1 as Faculty students. When you arrive, your first contact will probably be either the academic Level Representative or Ms Irene Sgouras who is the undergraduate administrator. They will authorise your enrolment into Level 2 and are both available for assistance with your course or advice if you need assistance from any of the University Resources. Irene is available in the general office to answer questions about the running of the department and any other general enquiries. In fact, it's a good idea to start there with any query you might have. The following pages set out information about the course, the way the system works from enrolment to graduation. It does not include Unit Descriptions as these are to be found in the University Undergraduate Handbook. We strongly advise that you obtain a copy of the Handbook. These are available at the Monash Bookshop in the Union building at the Clayton Campus at a low cost. This Handbook is also available on the Monash web site. A Monash Student Diary is issued to each student on enrolment. The diary is a good source of information for professional, personal and social activities. It states important dates and should be referred to often. There is an Undergraduate Noticeboard on the wall opposite the General Office for your information. You must also remember to check your emails on a daily basis as important information will often be emailed to you. |
