The Department has laboratory facilities to help with student research work. It is expected that students be responsible for the equipment, tools, etc. that they use, and that they observe careful and clean work practices. Any student requiring laboratory assistance for project or research work must have a signed requisition form registered with the Laboratory and Resources Manager (Mr. Chris Powell).

Safety Equipment

To comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, safety equipment must be used under instruction and supervision at all times.

Accidents

Accidents of any kind must be reported to the Departmental Safety Officer (Mr. Mike Leach, Building 37) or the Laboratory and Resources Manager, Mr. C.D. Powell (Building 60).
