5. Unit DetailsIndividual units (subjects) are offered once per academic year as detailed in Table 1 below. That table also provides access to downloadable unit information sheets and details of required texts for each unit. Semester Key Dates are as follows each year:

*CIV5262 is being re-offered from Semester 1 2009 The following is a tailored list of elective options to suit this program and has been provided by Business and Economic's and would offer students some interesting areas of study. Many of Business and Economics Electives level nine units have no prerequisites (unless indicated), so they provide a good range of foundation level units. Students could choose from a wide range of Off-Campus Learning electives including: The following units are also available as suggested elective options but note that they ARE ON-CAMPUS electives (ie. NOT OFF-CAMPUS) and these can only be taken by people who can attend classes on the Caulfield Campus: Students who wish to do other units should contact the unit leader. Assessment:Units are assessed using a combination of continuous assessment (assignments, papers, problem sets) and a three hour, end of semester, examination. The material sent to students at the start of each semester details the relative contributions of each component of the assessment; however, the examination usually comprises 50 per cent of the total marks in each unit. Examination venues are arranged by Monash University and are located throughout Australia, and around the world. Unless notified otherwise, these are closed book examinations.
