PhD Research Topic

Prediction and controlling pipe failures in buried water and gas pipe systems
Date Commenced: 17th January 2007
This reseach is a part of a large project (see link above), within which my focus is on two areas, Firstly the development of simplified analytical models for pipe-ground interaction due to reactive soil movement and seasonal effect. Secondly the development of asset management models for pipe failure predictions incorporating ground movement and seasonal effects.

Supervisors

Assoc. Prof. Jayantha Kodikara
Dr David Marlow
Prof Xiao-Ling Zhao
Prof Stewart Burn
