Research:
His research interests are mainly in the field of structural behaviour and modeling for composite structures (concrete and steel), strengthening and rehabilitation of structures using carbon fiber polymers (CFRP) or external steel plates.

Short Resume:
Dr Al-Amery is an eminent structural engineer with extensive experience in steel plate and composite design. He was one of the first Endeavour scholars from Iraq.
He is an Associate Professor at the University of Technology, Division of Structural Engineering, Building and Construction Engineering Department, Baghdad (Iraq).
He is currently working in industry at Millet International Architectural Engineering, Manama (Kingdom of Bahrain).
